ABOUT THE NAPERVILLE DIAMONDS SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION

The Naperville Diamonds Softball Association is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, founded in 1994. We are a competitive fastpitch program for girls ages 7–18, dedicated to providing opportunities for athletes to play at a level consistent with their skills while developing as both players and individuals.

Player Development & Philosophy

The Diamonds emphasize the fundamentals of softball while building confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Teams are structured to give each player a sense of accomplishment and growth, both on and off the field. Our coaches and board are committed to providing the best environment possible for players to showcase their skills and reach their potential.

Commitment from Families

As a volunteer-based organization, the Diamonds thrive on support from both players and families. Players are expected to actively participate in team practices, games, tournaments, and organizational functions. Parents and families are encouraged to volunteer and contribute to the success of the program.

Competitive Success & Opportunities

While wins, losses, and trophies reflect the hard work of our athletes, they are not the sole measure of success. Our focus remains on long-term development and opportunities for players to advance. Many Diamonds athletes go on to earn varsity positions, all-conference honors, and collegiate softball opportunities.

We offer a range of competitive experiences:

  • Elite College Exposure & Tournament Teams that compete across Illinois and nationwide.

  • Tournament “B” Teams that compete regionally at the B level.

  • Developmental Teams within our in-house SWS League.

  • The CHIPS Program (8U), designed for the youngest players to learn fundamentals in a fun, developmental setting.

Age Groups

Teams are grouped in two-year increments: 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U, with January 1 as the age cutoff date. Our CHIPS program introduces athletes at the 8U level. The number of developmental or in-house teams depends on the availability of qualified managers, ensuring that every team receives strong leadership.

The Naperville Diamonds community is proud of its history, its values, and the athletes who represent the program. For more information, we welcome you to connect with our board members, coaches, or current families.
