Naperville Diamonds Softball Association

Welcome to our 30th year of Naperville Diamonds Softball!

Established in 1994, the Naperville Diamonds is one of the largest travel softball organizations in Illinois, designed for girls from 7 to 18 years of age. It is our mission, through the sport of softball, to help grow strong, confident, successful young women.

From our tournament programs that compete with the top teams throughout the Midwest to our in-house developmental division, there is a softball home for everyone with the Diamonds.

This past spring, 79 Diamonds played IHSA softball for 23 different Chicago-area high schools. More than 20 former Diamonds are currently playing college softball.

In 2016 we opened our indoor training facility, "The Diamond Mine," as one of the premier indoor facilities in the Midwest. An addition in the fall of 2018 now gives Diamonds players more than 18,000 square feet of off-season training space.

Each of the past two seasons the Diamonds have been the Chicago home for The Packaged Deal, the No. 1 softball clinic in America.

The Diamonds are a non-profit organization that survives thanks to the countless hours of so many volunteers. Please consider donating your time or other resources so we can continue providing exceptional athletic opportunities for your children.

Go Diamonds!

2023-24 COACHING STAFF

2022-23 COACHING STAFF

THANK YOU RON KUNKEL!

Behind every successful youth sports organization is a group of anonymous volunteers that put in whatever is needed to help things run smoothly.  For the past 22 years Ron Kunkel has been one of those people for the Naperville Diamonds.

Ron came to the organization in 2000 as a coach and joined the Board of Directors in 2001. In 2006 he was elected president of the organization, a position he held for ten years. For the past six years Ron has stayed on the Diamonds board as our liaison with the Naperville Park District. Ron has scheduled the fields and umpires for all of the friendlies and tournaments our teams have hosted, an enormous task. Up until last year he also served as the President of the Southwest Suburban (SWS) League. But perhaps most importantly, is the incredible resource he has been to myself and other current and former board members over the years. Ron has always been a level-headed voice of reason in even the most chaotic of environments. To put it simply: The Naperville Diamonds would not be in the place we are today without Ron’s leadership.

Ron recently retired and left Naperville behind for Wisconsin. Myself and the rest of the board want to acknowledge and thank Ron for everything he has done for the Naperville Diamonds over the last 22 years.

Enjoy your retirement Ron!
